Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis

Hereditary spastic paraparesis is a heterogeneous group of neurodegenerative disorders characterized by progressive weakness and spasticity of lower diseases, that could be combined with neurological and no neurological manifestations (finsterer et al, 2012). It could follow a hereditary autosomal dominant pattern, autosomal recessive, X-linked or mitochondrial.

In most cases, hereditary spastic paraparesis is caused by mutations in genes involved in neurons that keep the corticospinal tract.
